Driver Profile: Tony Coid

Tony competes in a Bowler Tomcat. The car has a traditional Land Rover chassis modified with King bypass shocks. The engine is a 4.8 Rover V8 with Omex mappable injection. The transmission is an R380 gearbox and Quaife limited slip diff in the rear.

Tony has had several class win in the NORC and B.C.C.C. and his aim for 2010 is to complete all the B.C.C.C. rounds without too much damage.Whilst not having any sponsors as such Tony's racing is helped by Rowland Marlow at ACR for engine work, Julian Robinson at JR Fabrications for fibreglass and axles, "Bumpy" Mike Moran for the loan of trailer, welding, tyre fitting and other bits. Tony does the repair and maintenance of his car himself and also does simple repairs to Bumpy's Wildcat.
 

Tony lives in Warrington and works as a contracts manager for Mark A Taylor Demolition. His navigator, Andy, works for fellow B.C.C.C. competitor Martin Gould at Buxton 4x4.
